  • Pool Tester PT500 - Tablet tester for pool water measuring alkalinity, pH and free chlorine

For every swimming pool and hot tub, it is essential to regularly check the water quality so that the water remains clean and hygienically safe. Measuring kits (testers) are used for this purpose.

Why measure the alkalinity of pool water? With all dosing systems, especially salt chlorinators (saltwater pools), it is necessary to measure the water alkalinity. If it is not within the range of 80-250, the water is not balanced, the measuring probes do not measure correctly, and the automatic dosing system will also not work properly. This can result in unhealthy pool water, which can then deteriorate and turn green or cloudy. It can also keep an excessively high chlorine level in the pool.

A pool water test kit that reliably measures pH, free chlorine or bromine, and total alkalinity in pool water. Pool testers correspond to the classic method of reliable water testing in swimming pools and hot tubs. All our pool testers / test blocks have a white background. Reading the result is therefore easy and will not be disturbed by background colors. The colored chambers displaying the values can also be filled with water to automatically adjust the scale colors in case the tested water is pre-colored. German Water-id pool testers work with German technology for the rapid dissolution of Water-i.d. measuring tablets.
