The Lisboa series laminated filters are made of polyester resin and glass fiber with a glossy finish.
Filtration is an essential part of overall pool water treatment. This means that the filtration system alone, without proper chemical water treatment, cannot ensure the required water parameters. Likewise, chemical water treatment alone is not sufficient without filtration.
Filtration PrincipleWater is drawn by the pump from the bottom of the pool through the pool bottom drain (1) and from the pool surface through skimmers / collectors / (2) via the valve (3) into the filter (5), where it is cleaned. It is then pushed back into the pool through the recirculation nozzles (6). The nozzles are located on the opposite side from where the bottom drain and skimmers are installed. The filter itself contains a sand filling, which traps insoluble impurities contained in the water. After a certain period of filtration, the sand becomes clogged and water passes through it with difficulty. It is therefore necessary to backwash the sand. Backwashing or rinsing is performed by feeding water into the filter in the opposite direction to the filtration process. |
