The Lisboa fiberglass filter is made of polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass and finished with a glossy surface.
Filtration is an essential part of the overall treatment of pool water. This means that the filtration unit alone, without proper chemical water treatment, cannot ensure the required water parameters. Likewise, chemical water treatment alone is not sufficient without filtration.
Filtration PrincipleWater is drawn by the pump from the bottom of the pool through the pool drain (1) and from the pool surface through skimmers /collectors/ (2), via the valve (3) into the filter (5), where it is cleaned. It is then pushed back into the pool through the recirculation nozzles (6). The nozzles are located on the opposite side from where the bottom drain and skimmers are installed. The filter itself contains a sand filling that traps insoluble impurities present in the water. After a certain period of filtration, the sand becomes clogged and water can no longer pass through it easily. It is therefore necessary to backwash the sand. Backwashing or rinsing is carried out by feeding water into the filter in the opposite direction to the filtration process. |
