Low pool water hardness manifests itself in a similar way to low alkalinity. High hardness causes lime scale deposits on the pool walls and reduces the effectiveness of disinfectants. The recommended pool water hardness is 175 - 300 g / m3 CaCO3. The product contains 90 - 100 g / 100 g calcium chloride.
The most suitable water hardness for pools is 8 - 18 °N. If the pool is filled with hard water, calcium and magnesium salts are released from the water. Other impurities then build up on these deposits, creating ideal conditions for the formation of algae, bacteria and viruses. We recommend checking the water hardness immediately after filling the pool and during the season whenever a larger amount of water is added.
1.5 kg of CTX-22 will increase total hardness by approx. 10 g / m3 in 100 m3 of water.
For best results, add the product immediately after filling the pool. Mix the required amount of CTX-22 with water in a larger plastic container and pour the solution evenly over the pool surface. Then start your filtration system and let the water filter for 8 hours.
