Used to adjust the alkalinity of pool water. Too low alkalinity means that even a very small dose of pH adjustment product is enough to cause a rapid change in pH. The stable pH range is 7.2 - 7.6. The recommended alkalinity of pool water is 125 - 150 g / m3 CaCO3. You can determine the alkalinity value using a 4-in-1 tester. If you have a problem with pH stability in your pool, you probably have low water alkalinity. The product contains sodium bicarbonate.
Water alkalinity is the ability of water to resist a decrease in pH. Total alkalinity is determined by the content of bicarbonates, carbonates, and hydroxides contained in the water. Without maintaining the total alkalinity of the water at the prescribed level, it is impossible to keep the other required water parameters. Low total alkalinity causes corrosion and stains on metal pool accessories and problems with maintaining the water pH. High total alkalinity causes high water pH, cloudiness, irritation of the eyes, ears, throat, and respiratory tract of swimmers, and the formation of deposits on the pool walls.
1.8 kg of CTX-21 will increase total alkalinity by approx. 10 g / m3 in 100 m3 of water. It is advisable to check the alkalinity value once a week.
Mix the required amount of CTX-21 with water in a larger plastic container and pour the solution evenly over the surface of the pool. Then switch on your filtration system and let the water filter for 8 hours.
