The Lisboa series laminated filters are made of polyester resin and fiberglass with a glossy finish.
Filtration is part of the overall treatment of pool water. This means that the filtration system alone, without proper chemical treatment of the water, cannot ensure the required water parameters. Likewise, chemical water treatment alone is not sufficient without filtration.
Filtration PrincipleWater is drawn by the pump from the bottom of the pool through the pool bottom drain (1) and from the surface of the pool through skimmers /collectors/ (2), via the valve (3) into the filter (5), where it is cleaned. It is then pushed back into the pool through the recirculation nozzles (6). The nozzles are located on the opposite side from where the bottom drain and skimmers are installed. The filter itself contains a sand filling that traps insoluble impurities contained in the water. After a certain period of filtration, the sand becomes clogged and water can no longer pass through it easily. It is therefore necessary to backwash the sand. Backwashing or rinsing is carried out by feeding water into the filter in the opposite direction to the filtration process. |
