The MIDI 500 KIT filtration system can be used for water circulation in swimming pools, ponds, spas, and whirlpools. Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through a layer of sand, which traps fine impurities. Over time, the sand becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the six-way valve is used for. By turning the valve to the backwash position, the direction of water flow is reversed, flushing the trapped dirt out to waste. This process can be repeated throughout the entire service life of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods. The KIT MIDI 500 sand filtration system, 9 m3 / h, consists of a sand filter tank, a pump with a hair prefilter, a 6-way valve, and a base (pallet). The KIT MIDI 500 filtration system is supplied disassembled. It must be assembled before connecting it to the pool. Installation and commissioning are simple. The filtration system can be connected to the pool circuit using glued PVC pipes or flexible hoses with a diameter of 50 mm.
Operating Principle
Suction is taken from the main drain (1) at the bottom of the pool and the skimmer (2) at the water surface, and is carried through separate piping with the appropriate valves (3) by the pump (4) to the sand filter (5). After filtration, the water is returned to the pool through the return inlets (6), which are installed on the opposite side of the pool from the skimmer and main drain.
