Filtration Unit - MIDI KIT 400, MIDI 400 filter tank, side-mounted six-way valve, FreeFlo 6 m3/h 230V pump, Czech description

The KIT MIDI 400 filtration unit can be used for water circulation in swimming pools, ponds, spas, and whirlpools. Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through a layer of sand, which traps fine dirt particles. Over time, the sand becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the six-way valve is for. By turning the valve to the backwash position, we reverse the direction of water flow and flush the trapped dirt out to waste. This process can be repeated throughout the entire service life of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods. The KIT MIDI 400 sand filtration system, 6 m3 / h, consists of a sand tank, a pump with a hair pre-filter, a 6-way valve, and a base (pallet). The KIT MIDI 400 filtration unit is supplied disassembled. It must be assembled before connecting it to the pool. Assembly and commissioning are easy. The filtration unit can be connected to the pool circuit using glued PVC pipes or flexible hoses with a diameter of 50 mm.

    Operating Principle

Suction is drawn from the main drain (1) at the bottom of the pool and the skimmer (2) at the water surface, and is routed through separate piping with corresponding valves (3) by the pump (4) into the sand filter (5). After filtration, the water returns to the pool through the return inlets (6), which are installed on the opposite side of the pool from the skimmer and main drain.
