Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through a layer of sand, which traps fine dirt particles. As a result, the sand gradually becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the six-way valve is used for. By turning the valve to the sand-washing position, we reverse the direction of water flow and flush the trapped dirt out to waste. This process can be repeated throughout the entire service life of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods.

Complete AZUR KIT
The AZUR sand filtration Kit Ø 380, 480 and 560 mm can be assembled into several filtration kits. As standard, they are always fitted with a 6-way top valve with pressure gauge. As additional equipment, you can choose a base under the filter itself or a base pallet with space for the pump. For the kits, you can individually choose between FreeFlo, Micro Delfino, Preva, and Bettar pumps. The filtration system can also be supplemented with connecting piping between the filter and the pump. The entire system is clearly shown in the tables for each individual filter.
