  • Filtration Unit - MIDI KIT 400, MIDI 400 filter tank, six-way side valve, Bettar Top S II pump 8 m3/h 230V, Czech description

The KIT MIDI 400 filtration unit can be used for water recirculation in swimming pools, ponds, spas, and whirlpools. Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through a layer of sand, which traps fine dirt particles. Over time, the sand becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the six-way valve is used for. By turning the valve to the sand washing position, we reverse the direction of water flow and flush the trapped dirt out to waste. This process can be repeated throughout the entire service life of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods. The KIT MIDI 400 sand filtration unit consists of a sand filter tank, a pump with a hair pre-filter, a 6-way valve, and a base (pallet). The KIT MIDI 400 filtration unit is supplied disassembled. Before connecting it to the pool, it must be assembled. Assembly and commissioning are simple. The filtration unit can be connected to the pool circuit by gluing to PVC pipes as well as flexible hoses with a diameter of 50 mm.

    Wiring Diagram

    Operating Principle

Water is drawn from the main drain (1) at the bottom of the pool and from the skimmer(s) (2) at the water surface, and is carried through separate piping with the corresponding valves (3) by the pump (4) to the sand filter (5). After filtration, the water is returned to the pool through return inlets (6), which are installed on the opposite side of the pool from the skimmer(s) and main drain.
