Electric flow heaters are designed for heating water in swimming pools and hot tubs. They work by heating the water as it flows through the heating element, with the water temperature set by a control thermostat. The heating element is switched by a contactor, which is controlled by the thermostat and the flow safety switch mentioned above. For this reason, the heater requires so-called “large automation” - a 24-hour filtration timer, residual current device (protection against dangerous touch voltage), motor thermal protection, contactor, and heater switch. The entire heating unit is made of stainless titanium material (for salt water) or plastic.
EOVTi pool electric flow heaters are specially designed for heating pool water or water in other circulation systems with flow and temperatures up to 40°C. Each heater must be installed in the electrical system behind a residual current device. We therefore recommend supplementing the unit with a suitable type of automatic control.
