Triton Neo ClearPro filter tanks are made of fiberglass, seamless and reinforced with a polyester layer, and equipped with a 6-way top valve mounted on a base. Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through the layer of sand, which traps fine dirt particles. Over time, the sand becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the 6-way valve is used for. By turning the valve to the sand wash position, we reverse the direction of water flow and flush the trapped dirt into the waste line. This process can be repeated throughout the entire service life of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods.
ClearPro® is a patented technology from Pentair that achieves a very high level of filtration, approximately 4 times better than standard sand filtration. This quality is achieved thanks to new porous plastic collectors. These act as additional filters, creating an extra barrier against the smallest dirt particles. The result is crystal-clear water.
