Triton Neo ClearPro filter tanks are made of fiberglass, are seamless, reinforced with a polyester layer, equipped with a 6-way side valve and a pressure gauge, and mounted on a base. Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through the sand bed, which traps fine dirt particles. Over time, the sand becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the 6-way valve is used for. By turning the valve to the sand wash position, we change the direction of water flow and flush the trapped dirt out to waste. This process can be repeated throughout the entire lifespan of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods.
ClearPro® is a patented technology from Pentair that achieves very high filtration levels, approximately 4 times better than standard sand filtration. This quality is achieved thanks to new porous plastic collectors. These act as additional filters, creating an extra barrier against the smallest dirt particles. The result is exceptionally clean water.
