Tangit PVC Adhesive 1000 g
Designed for bonding rigid joints in pressure piping systems (e.g., drinking water and gas pipelines) with PVC-U fittings, non-pressure PVC-U piping systems (e.g., wastewater drainage), sewer pipes, PVC-U roof gutters, etc. Suitable for use in the food industry, brewing, and water transport. The joint is water-resistant. Chemical resistance (especially against inorganic acids) depends on curing time, temperature, type and concentration of the acid, etc. Resistant to temperatures within the same range as PVC-U materials. Fills gaps.

Application Area
- For joining thermoplastic pressure piping systems made of rigid PVC (drinking water, gas) in accordance with EN 1452
- Suitable for non-pressure piping systems (wastewater drainage) in accordance with EN 1329
- For installation work and repairs (e.g., sewer pipes)
- Ideal for structural bonding of PVC sheets and tiles (e.g., containment trays, cabinets)
- Plastic piping systems for industrial applications in accordance with EN ISO 15493
Application
- Cut the pipe end at a right angle, bevel the outer edge (15°), and deburr. Briefly clean and dry the surfaces to be bonded. Mark the insertion depth on the end of the pipe.
- Apply Tangit PVC-U/PVC-C/ABS Cleaner using absorbent paper towels and thoroughly clean the dry surfaces to be bonded. Use a new paper towel for each cleaning.
- Stir the Tangit adhesive before use, then apply along both sides with a brush (a thin layer inside the fitting, a thicker layer on the end of the pipe), join the pipe and fitting without twisting or misalignment within the open time, and hold firmly for a few seconds.
- Do not expose the bonded joint to mechanical stress for 5 minutes.
- After the final bonding, wait at least 10–12 hours before placing the pipe into the trench.
- Waiting time before commissioning and pressure testing: 24 hours for new installations, and for repairs 1 hour per bar of pressure.
Warning
- Avoid contact with open flames and sparks during use.
- Ensure good ventilation in the work area.
- Wear suitable protective clothing during use.
- Follow the instructions stated in the technical data sheet and safety data sheet.
