Suitable for both outdoor and indoor pools and hot tubs. The special plate design ensures high heating output in a compact size and excellent efficiency for fast pool heating. The heat exchangers achieve a temperature increase of up to 15°C between the inlet and outlet of the exchanger.
The exchanger is connected with a ¾" external thread for both the heating water and pool water. OVBD heat exchangers must be connected to the pool circuit via a bypass. This is due to the smaller connection openings. On the other hand, the smaller openings slow down the water flow, which gives the exchanger higher performance.
The exchanger plates feature special profiling, which ensures a slower flow of the heating water, thereby increasing the exchanger’s performance.
The plates are pressed from corrosion-resistant AISI 316 stainless steel. The individual plates are vacuum-brazed with copper and nickel. The OVBD exchanger is a compact, non-separable unit.
OVBD plate heat exchangers must be installed in a vertical position. Any other position prevents sufficient water flow and proper heat transfer. The exchanger connection threads must not be subjected to any excessive pressure. If the supply piping is long and could place a load on the threads, the pipes must be supported.
Install the exchanger on a mounting plate or on a wall using brackets (not included). Smaller exchangers with fewer than 30 plates can be mounted directly onto the pipes. Local conditions must be taken into account for each specific installation.
