The end element, the Porocell Eco EndBlock EPS30 polystyrene block 160 x 88 x 45 mm, is used to finish the blocks in the corners of the pool so that concrete does not leak out from the sides of the block.
Thanks to its shape, Porocell blocks make it easy to build a pool even on your own, without the need for formwork or additional thermal insulation. The system consists of high-density extruded polystyrene blocks that can be cut with a knife or saw every 25 cm. Every pool component, such as skimmers, nozzles, underwater lights, or counter-current systems, can be installed easily and precisely. The easy workability of the material offers great freedom in choosing the pool shape and excellent adaptability to the selected dimensions.
The blocks are installed on a reinforced concrete slab, and after reinforcement with steel rebar, they are filled with ready-mix concrete. Geotextile is attached to the base slab and the perimeter walls. In the case of prefabricated replaceable liners, profiles are attached to the pool edges, allowing the liner to be easily secured; alternatively, heavy-duty pool liners are applied by welding.
80% of heat from the pool escapes through the water surface. Even so, it is highly recommended to thermally insulate the pool walls as well. By using Porocell blocks, the water in the pool heats up faster, so the swimming season can start earlier and last longer, even at the end of summer. Pools built from Porocell make use of solar radiation to warm the pool water. By harnessing heat from a heat pump, you can enjoy the benefits of your pool significantly longer than with other types of pools.
Temperature fluctuations and frost also affect the pool’s perimeter walls, which can cause expansion and stress that may damage the pool liner or even the structure itself. The Porocell system withstands these influences and absorbs all stresses.
