The Porocell Eco polystyrene block curved element EPS30 R = 2.5 m, together with other curved elements, is used for building rounded pool walls.
Create a unique pool exactly to your liking with the Porocell system. The prefabricated polystyrene blocks are simply stacked on a reinforced concrete slab in the required shape and height. The blocks are easy to handle thanks to their low weight. They can be easily shaped using a sharp knife or saw. The individual elements are equipped with interlocking joints, ensuring a precise and secure fit. The extruded polystyrene they are made of is highly durable and can withstand the water pressure on the pool walls.
Thanks to their shape, Porocell blocks make pool construction easy even for DIY installation, with no formwork or additional thermal insulation required. The system consists of high-density extruded polystyrene blocks that can be cut with a knife or saw every 25 cm. Every pool construction component, such as skimmers, nozzles, underwater lights, or counter-current systems, can be installed easily and precisely. The easy processing of the material gives great freedom in choosing the pool shape and excellent adaptability to the selected dimensions.
The blocks are installed on a reinforced concrete slab and, after reinforcement with steel rebar, filled with ready-mix concrete. Geotextile is attached to the base slab and along the perimeter walls. In the case of prefabricated replaceable liners, profiles are attached to the pool edges, allowing the liner to be easily fixed in place; alternatively, heavy-duty pool liners are applied by welding.
Up to 80% of heat escapes from the pool through the water surface. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended to insulate the pool walls as well. By using Porocell blocks, the water in the pool heats up faster, so the swimming season can start earlier and last longer at the end of summer. Pools built from Porocell make use of solar radiation to warm the pool water. By using heat from a heat pump, you can enjoy the benefits of your pool significantly longer than with other types of pools.
Temperature fluctuations and frost also affect the pool walls, which can cause expansion and stress that may damage the pool liner or even the structure itself. The Porocell system resists these influences and absorbs all stresses.
Porocell polystyrene blocks are available in BigBlock or EcoBlock versions. The volume of one BigBlock is 0.083 m3, and 83 liters of concrete are needed to fill it. The volume of an EcoBlock is 0.033 m3, and 33 liters of concrete are needed to fill one block.
