The advantage of PVC fittings is easy handling, simple installation, and chemical resistance.
This pool PVC coupling – socket is used to connect a PVC pipe or flexible hose. The pipes are glued into the inside of the coupling. Do not glue the pipes to the outer side of the coupling. It is not 100% straight, so the joints will not seal properly. Before gluing, all joints must be thoroughly cleaned. Use Tangit or Griffon. Apply a thin layer of Tangit or Griffon adhesive to both the coupling and the pipe, then press the joints together. Leave to dry for at least 5 minutes. Pool adhesives cure in 10–12 hours.
