Plimex Check Valve d 63 mm, PVC, solvent weld/solvent weld

The PVC check valve is used to ensure permanent priming of the pool pump. If your filtration system with the pump is installed above the water level in the pool, the check valve will keep the water column in the pipe and the pump will not hum when started – it will not run dry. We also recommend using a check valve in self-priming pumps. This reduces the load on the pump and extends its service life. For pool installation materials, use special PVC adhesives.

When installing the check valve, make sure it is fitted in the correct direction. There is an arrow on the outside of the valve showing the correct direction of water flow. The water must be pushed into the plastic ball inside the valve. On the other side there is a spring that closes the valve as soon as the water stops flowing.
