Starter bacteria. In spring or when starting up a pond again, it reactivates the biology in the filter, and it is also recommended when partially replacing the water in the pond. Highly concentrated microorganisms, often referred to as starter bacteria, help the filter foam become colonized more quickly with biologically active biomass. This biomass is needed for the filter to develop full performance especially quickly and efficiently.
