Intelligent Pool Control VArio - RC Module Version 1.3

Thanks to the intelligent VArio system, individual pool technology components can be controlled using a remote control or remotely via the internet from a phone/computer.

The basic setup consists of a VArio DIN module with a WiFi module, which enables remote system control via the internet, status notifications, and last but not least remote diagnostics/first-line support for the pool technician (via the internet).

The setup can be expanded with an RC module for local control. The RC module also has IP65 protection (it is resistant to splashing water and rain) and can be placed, for example, next to the pool and used even while swimming.

The intelligent VArio system in combination with the RC module allows local control of individual pool technology components:

Controlled Technologies

• The DIN module itself allows control of the following technologies:
• Filtration – AUTO = 4 programmable time intervals, manual ON without dosing, ON with dosing/heating, and permanent OFF
• ON/OFF dosing – operation of a salt chlorinator without its own measurement / UV lamp depending on filtration – 25% / 50% / 75% / 100% of filtration time
• Attraction 2 - timer 0-120 min. The output for ON/OFF dosing can alternatively be configured and used to control Attraction 2.
• Lights - timer 0-240 min. or permanently ON
• Attraction 3 – after connecting the additional VArio DIN LIGHTS module, the output for Lights changes to Attraction 3 (timer 0-120 min)
• Heating/cooling – control of the heat source according to the measured and desired water temperature, with heating priority function
• Attraction 1 – timer 0-120 min.
• RS485 – dosing device with its own measurement and MODBUS communication

The basic DIN module version 1.3 also includes 2 control inputs

Flow flap:

• protection of technologies directly dependent on water flow (dosing, heating, etc.)

State (position) of the pool cover with limit switches:

• optimization of technology operation when the pool is open or closed (from DIN version 1.2)
• automatic start of filtration with dosing when the pool is opened (from DIN version 1.3)

or

State of the compensation tank fill level:

• automatic start of the filtration pump when the compensation tank is full = overflow protection (from DIN version 1.3)

Connection of the VA DOS / VA SALT SMART water treatment unit

To connect the VArio system and the VA DOS dosing station / SALT SMART salt chlorinator, order connection cable no. 516130 (VArio automation with connector on the control cabinet) or 516132 (direct connection to the DIN module). To connect the VA SALT SMART chlorinator, you also need the VA SALT SMART communication module (item no. 516141). To connect the older VA DOS station, replacement of the dosing station electronics may be required (spare part no. RIC0151815).

Note:

If installing the intelligent VArio system on an existing older installation, we recommend consulting regarding communication with the previously installed dosing station.
