Astralpool Automatic Six-Way Control Valve VRAC BASIC - with Side Connection 2"
An upgraded AstralPool product - automatic 6-way control valve. Using the panel on the valve, you can set fully automatic operation of your pool filtration system, making maintenance easier and leaving you more time for relaxation and healthy rest. The automatic valve is controlled by an adjustable pressure switch (0.3 - 2 kg/cm2, factory set to 1.5 kg/cm2), which, when the filter becomes clogged with dirt, sends a signal to perform backwashing and then a settling rinse of the filter. In the new type of valve (codes 72433 and 72434), the pressure switch is replaced by an analog pressure sensor. If the automatic valve does not receive a signal from the pressure switch within 7 days, it automatically performs 1 backwash and a settling rinse (this function can be switched off with a microswitch on the valve board). The backwash duration can be set to 0.5, 1, 2, 3, or 4 minutes, and the settling rinse duration to 20 or 40 seconds. If needed, the valve can be set to drain water from the pool using a special button on the valve and a three-position switch in the control panel. Connection to the filtration pump ensures that it switches off every time the valve is repositioned. In addition, this valve is equipped with a manual switch to start backwashing and the settling rinse at the operator’s discretion.
The filtration system must be backwashed and kept in good condition according to the level of dirt buildup. Otherwise, it becomes clogged with dirt, which subsequently clouds the pool water and leads to algae growth or other unpleasant effects that discourage swimming in the pool.
