Aseko Ventil BESGO - 4-way backwash valve Ø63 mm - for solar systems

Valve actuation, i.e. opening, is ensured by water pressure from the line or by means of an air compressor. A major advantage of these valves is maximum operational safety. The 4-way valve can only be operated when the pump is switched off. Otherwise, there is a risk of serious damage to the valve.

The valve has these four basic positions:

• Winterizing: This position is used when winterizing the filtration system, when the pool is out of operation.
• Filtration: The most commonly used position. In this position, water is drawn from the pool (through the skimmer, suction nozzles, bottom drain, or overflow gutter), passes through the pump and valve, and then through the filter sand, where impurities are trapped. The cleaned water is returned to the pool through the return nozzles.
• Backwash: In this mode, water flows through the filter in the opposite direction, which stirs up the sand and flushes loosened dirt into the drain. The backwash duration depends on the level of contamination of the filter and usually takes 2–3 minutes. The cleanliness of the outgoing water can be monitored through the transparent sight glass on the side of the valve. Since water is discharged to waste, it is necessary to monitor the amount and, if necessary, top up the pool water.
• Rinse: Used after backwashing to allow the sand to settle again. Water with any remaining impurities is discharged to waste.
