Astralpool automatic six-way control valve VRAC IV - with side connection 1 1/2

The VRAC IV system is an automatic 6-way valve designed for full automation of a pool filtration system. Using the integrated programmable control panel or the Fluidra Pool app, it allows convenient control of the filtration system without the need for manual valve adjustment. It provides all essential functions, such as filtration, backwash, rinse, drain, recirculation, and system shut-off. This fourth-generation valve also offers connection to the Fluidra Pool app and remote control via smartphone through the optional IQBridge RS device, which is not included in the package. Once connected, you can remotely activate individual valve functions, easily set the pressure for automatic backwash, and monitor the current filter pressure. Thanks to intelligent programming, the System VRAC IV can automatically perform filter backwash based on pressure. The pressure sensor monitors the pressure in the filtration system and, when the set value is exceeded, automatically starts the backwash cycle followed by rinsing. The system also allows automatic timed backwash activation after 24 hours or 7 days from the last backwash. This creates efficient filter maintenance that helps keep pool water crystal clear, optimize water consumption, and reduce the environmental impact of operation.

The filtration system needs to be backwashed and maintained in good condition depending on the level of dirt buildup. Otherwise, it becomes clogged with impurities, which can lead to cloudy pool water, algae growth, and other unpleasant issues that discourage swimming.

Functions and control

Filtration - starts based on a command from the timer installed in the control cabinet or another external programmed command.
Backwash - can be started manually using a button or automatically based on a signal from the pressure sensor, or according to the time setting on the control panel. The pressure sensor evaluates the pressure in the filter and determines when backwashing and subsequent rinsing of the filter is required. During each installation, the pressure sensor must be set correctly according to the specific operating conditions so that the system can properly determine the backwash moment. If the pressure exceeds the preset value, the valve automatically changes position and starts the backwash and rinse cycle. The cycle can also be time-controlled - automatic activation can be set after 24 hours or 7 days from the last backwash, provided the valve is connected to the power supply.
Rinse - starts automatically after each backwash cycle.
Recirculation - activated by pressing the corresponding button and allows water circulation without filtration.
Shut-off - pressing the corresponding button closes the flow from the pump to the system outlets.
Drain - activated using a button that sets the valve to the water draining position. This function must then be confirmed via the control cabinet, preventing accidental draining of the pool.
Backwash - button and LED indicator - a separate button allows manual backwash activation and the LED indicator shows when the function is active.
