The skimmer (surface debris collector) is used to draw contaminated pool water into the filtration system. A skimmer is a plastic or stainless-steel container built into the pool wall, or hung freely on the wall (for above-ground pools). The type of skimmer is determined by the pool construction. The height can be adjusted by vertical extension. VA skimmers for concrete or liner pools are made of white injection-molded ABS, and the external parts are UV-stabilized. The recommended flow rate is 5 - 9 m3 / h. Round lid mounted on a square frame. To connect the skimmer to 63 mm piping and hoses, there is an internal 2" thread. For connecting the pool vacuum hose, the skimmer is equipped with a skimvac – a plastic disc with a spigot onto which a 32 or 38 mm hose can be fitted. The skimmer volume is 17.5 liters - compared to the smaller 15-liter versions, it is overall larger, has a bigger basket, thicker plastic, and more connection options.
We recommend installing 1 skimmer for every 25 m2 of water surface.
