Create a unique pool exactly the way you want it with the Porocell system. The sturdy polystyrene blocks are stacked to form the required wall shape. They are easy to handle and can be shaped well, giving you the freedom to choose an original pool design. They are equipped with interlocking joints, ensuring a precise and firm fit.
The Porocell Big RoundBlock EPS30 1000 x 250 x 250 mm polystyrene block helps you create the curved sections of your pool. Together with the entire Porocell system, it saves time during formwork preparation, as the concrete is simply poured into the blocks. You can also install any pool structural component into them, whether it is a skimmer, jets, underwater lights, or a counter-current system.
Thanks to their shape, Porocell blocks make pool construction easy even for DIY installation, with no need for formwork or additional thermal insulation. The system consists of high-density extruded polystyrene blocks that can be cut with a knife or saw in 25 cm increments. Every pool structural component, such as a skimmer, jets, underwater lights, or counter-current system, can be installed easily and precisely. The easy workability of the material gives you great freedom in choosing the pool shape and excellent adaptability to the selected dimensions.
The blocks are installed on a reinforced concrete slab and, after reinforcement with steel rebar, are filled with ready-mix concrete. Geotextile is attached to the base slab and along the perimeter walls. In the case of prefabricated replaceable liners, profiles are attached to the pool edges, allowing the liner to be easily secured; alternatively, heavy-duty pool liners are applied by welding.
Up to 80% of heat escapes from the pool through the water surface. Even so, it is highly recommended to thermally insulate the pool walls as well. By using Porocell blocks, the water in the pool heats up faster, so the swimming season can start earlier and last longer, even at the end of summer. Pools built from Porocell make use of solar radiation to warm the pool water. By using heat from a heat pump, you can enjoy the benefits of your pool significantly longer than with other types of pools.
The pool perimeter walls are also affected by temperature fluctuations and frost, which can cause expansion and stress that may damage the pool liner or even the structure itself. The Porocell system withstands these influences and absorbs all stresses.
Porocell polystyrene blocks are available in BigBlock or EcoBlock versions. The volume of one BigBlock is 0.083 m3, and 83 liters of concrete are required to fill it. The volume of the EcoBlock is 0.033 m3, and 33 liters of concrete are required to fill one block.
