It is necessary to use two titanium grounding elements, one before and one after the chlorinator. When using saltwater treatment, use a UV sterilizer only with a plastic housing.
Pool water should be slightly salty: 3 - 4 grams per 1 liter of water. From this salt, the Autochlor system creates chlorine molecules from salt (NaCl), which it breaks down into sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl). This reaction is achieved by low voltage in insoluble titanium electrodes. Service life: 12,000 operating hours.
Warning:
When using the Autochlor system, there must be no stainless steel parts in the pool (titanium only), as immediate corrosion may occur when the system is started. Water treated in this way does not smell of chemicals, because the system prevents the formation of chloramines, which are the cause of the unpleasant odor.
