CCEI has developed a unique electrolysis system that combines advanced water treatment technology with a visual display of water status. The compact Zelia ZLT salt chlorinator is housed in a transparent cell whose color changes according to salt concentration and water temperature - a patented CCEI technology.
Thanks to this solution, the user gets an immediate overview of the water treatment status:
This system allows for quick visual control of water quality without the need for complex measurements.
The Zelia ZLT salt chlorinator ensures efficient and optimized chlorine production depending on the water temperature. Output is automatically reduced when the pool is covered with an automatic cover, and the unit offers up to 8 power levels for precise adjustment to current conditions. The compact and durable monoblock cell is equipped with titanium electrodes and, thanks to automatic polarity reversal cleaning, maintains a long service life and reliable operation. Safe operation is guaranteed by the integrated flow detector, which starts chlorine production only when water flows through the cell. The unit is easy to install - the fully assembled system is ready for use within minutes and connects via a practical connector. The Zelia ZLT model is also ideal for underground technical rooms and, in temperature control mode, automatically adjusts production cycles to the current water temperature, ensuring maximum efficiency and energy savings.
Principle of electrolysis
Salt (NaCl) dissolved in water is broken down by an electrolysis process into sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl). The chlorine immediately dissolves in the water and forms hypochlorous acid (HClO), a powerful disinfectant that destroys bacteria and algae. After the reaction, it is converted back into salt again. From a safety standpoint, the electrolyzer is designed to produce chlorine only when the flow detector detects water flow through the cell. This means the electrolyzer produces chlorine only during filtration cycles set by the programmable timer in the pool control unit. The chlorine production time during these cycles consists of two intervals - normal and reverse - during which the polarity of the electrodes changes. This polarity reversal prevents limescale buildup on the electrodes and extends their service life.
Advantages:
Connection
The Zelia ZLT 50 is installed in 50 mm PVC piping using the supplied connectors. It is recommended to place it in a bypass after filtration, which allows:
The cell can be installed both horizontally and vertically. The package includes connection fittings for gluing into PVC piping. For flow rates above 22 m3 / h, a bypass is essential to ensure optimal operation of the entire system.
Setup and Control
At the top of the cell there is a control panel with:
Color LED Indicators
Inside the cell, colored LEDs are built in to signal the chlorine production status:
