  • Oase FiltoClear 11000 - replacement sponges blue / red 

    Red sponge: fine mechanical filtration and biological filtration thanks to aerobic conditions (low in oxygen) allow NBB bacteria in the red zone to break down, or oxidize, nitrates. Nitrates can be naturally absorbed and broken down by plants.

    Blue sponge: coarse dirt particles are captured in the large blue biobodies. With enriched oxygen, NSB bacteria quickly form in the blue zones, which convert the highly harmful ammonia for fish into nitrites.
