Low-pressure UV-C lamp for private pools, whirlpools, ponds, and aquariums. The lamp reliably destroys all microorganisms and algae. The UV lamp is protected by a quartz glass tube, and the lamp lifespan under normal operating conditions is up to 9,000 hours. This new UV lamp model is equipped with an easily accessible control box. The lamp body is made of durable UV-stable material. The device comes with a 24-month warranty. The UV emitter and quartz glass tube are not covered by the warranty in case of breakage.
Disinfection with ultraviolet radiation is among the technologies that have recently been increasingly used to improve drinking water and pool water treatment systems. The principle of disinfection lies in the photochemical damage of RNA and DNA, proteins, enzymes, and other biologically important macromolecules. The effectiveness of disinfection depends on the UV radiation dose, the type of UV lamp used, and its arrangement in relation to the direction of flow of drinking or pool water. To correctly select a suitable type of UV device, it is necessary to determine and ensure the required UV radiation dose, depending on the flow rate and water quality in terms of its transparency, i.e. the concentration and type of dissolved and undissolved substances that affect the reflection or absorption of UV radiation.
The possibility of combining UV radiation with other treatment technologies leads to achieving high water quality. The advantage is lower operating demands, i.e. savings on dosed chemicals and safe, simple operation in automatic mode. The disadvantage is the possibility of secondary contamination, so UV radiation alone is not suitable for hygienic protection. In practice, it is therefore combined, for example, with chlorination.
