Lissa filter tank for private swimming pools. The tank is made of fiberglass and is UV-resistant. Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water passes through the sand layer, which captures fine dirt particles. Over time, the sand becomes clogged and needs to be backwashed, which is what the six-way valve is used for. By turning the valve to the sand washing position, we reverse the direction of water flow and flush the trapped dirt into the waste line. This process can be repeated throughout the entire service life of the sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods.
The filter tank delivery does not include filter media (sand, zeolite).
Filtration is part of the overall treatment of pool water. This means that the filtration unit alone, without proper chemical water treatment, cannot ensure the required water parameters. Likewise, chemical water treatment alone is not sufficient without filtration.
Filtration PrincipleWater is drawn by the pump from the bottom of the pool through the bottom drain (1) and from the pool surface through the skimmers /collectors/ (2), via the valve (3) into the filter (5), where it is cleaned. It is then returned to the pool through the recirculation nozzles (6). The nozzles are located on the opposite side from where the bottom drain and skimmers are installed. The filter itself contains a sand filling that traps insoluble impurities present in the water. After a certain period of filtration, the sand becomes clogged and water can no longer pass through it easily. It is therefore necessary to backwash the sand. Backwashing or rinsing is carried out by feeding water into the filter in the opposite direction to the filtration process. |
