The UV sterilizer is a device in which a special lamp emits intense UV radiation when lit. The lamp is hermetically sealed in a housing that does not allow UV rays to pass through. UV radiation is deadly dangerous to the vast majority of organisms. We use it to destroy algae, parasites, mold, viruses, yeasts, and bacteria contained in the water. Ultraviolet radiation is invisible electromagnetic radiation (one of the regions of the electromagnetic spectrum) with a wavelength of 4–400 nm and a frequency of 10¹⁵–10¹⁷ Hz. Ultraviolet radiation is part of the solar spectrum (less than 5%) and lies between visible sunlight and X-rays. Ultraviolet radiation consists of 3 components: UVA, UVB, UVC. Lamp life: 9,000 h.
